CRUSH is proud to announce Chris SaldÃna as our featured Local Leader.

It’s not often in this city of lights and stars that you find one that stands out like Chris Saldana. The KLAS-TV Channel 8 NOW anchor is a fervent community leader and supporter. He lends his names to countless organizations and events, and does it with a smile.

Chris has been there to lend a hand or a voice to HRC, SNAPI, Imperial Royal Court, Community Counseling Center, NGRA, Golden Rainbow, AFAN, Sin City Sisters and many others. When asked why, Chris replied, “Anytime I can be of help, I will do it. It’s the least I could do for a community that has embraced and supported me since I’ve been here.”

He is CRUSH’s Local Leader because he believes that what we do is more than parties. Being fresh and smokefree means life, and not just for those that choose to smoke, but for those that choose to live their life smokefree. “Smoking is a personal choice, but others are forced into it through second hand smoke. If major cities, like New York, LA, Chicago, Seattle, can be smoke free in public places, why can’t Vegas?”

His dedication to the Las Vegas LGBT community does not go unseen. CRUSH is proud to recognize this instrumental individual, who with out a doubt will continue to create positive change & awareness.
